Welcome to the Mid-America School of Ministry

Message from the Academic Dean

For many years it has been my desire to establish an arm of higher education in the Midwest to prepare men and women for Christian ministry. The Lord has opened a door for this to happen with establishment of the Mid-America School of Ministry.

As an official extension site of Eugene Bible College, the Mid-America School of Ministry is offering a 30-hour Biblical Ministries Certificate. The courses in this program will be taught by teachers who have the requisite academic credentials to teach under EBC’s current accreditation status, which means the course credits are fully transferable to EBC for anyone who may want to continue their education.

The Mid-America School of Ministry will be offering the Biblical Ministry Certificate. The BMC was designed with the local church in mind. We are primarily targeting lay people and “Second Career” people who wish to better prepare themselves for ministry in the church where they are currently serving. However, the BMC will also provide a good foundation to build upon for those who wish to pursue full-time Christian ministry. To further enhance the BMC, we have added a Ministerial Internship to be completed during the first year in the student’s local church and a Ministry Practicum to be completed during the second year in a community-based ministry or charity in the student’s home town.

We are excited about Mid-America School of Ministry and what it will add to the Kingdom of God in America’s Heartland. If you have a desire to better prepare yourself for Christian ministry within the local, church we extend you an invitation to join us and allow the Lord to further his work in your life at MSM. Whatever your decision, we ask you to join with us in praying for the Lord’s direction and blessing on the teachers and students who will be involved this year at MSM.
